Innovation at Moores
11 August 2008
Moores Recycling are developing ways to utilise more and more types of waste plastic in our onsite manufacturing facility.
As part of the Recovinyl initiative, which exists to promote more recycling of plastic, we are now collecting post-consumer PVC pipe and guttering for our new processing facility. This in turn will be manufactured into pipes by our subsidiary Flogen, who are based next door to our recycling facility here in Frome, Somerset.
Flogen are also in the mid stages of developing of a system to manufacture pipe from LDPE films, further extending the number of materials for which we can “complete the cycle” of manufacturing here on site.
